Ellen is a florist, writer and educator online and in-person. Over the past 15 years, Ellen has grown her studio, Local Color Flowers, into a thriving business offering wedding florals, design classes, flowers for corporate events, individual orders, and retail as well as creative social and educational community experiences – all using 100% locally grown flowers. Ellen has an extensive resume and valuable credentials including the Allan M Armitage Award for Leadership from the Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers. She is an innovative entrepreneur and expert in the floriculture industry sought-after for teaching, business consulting, interviews, and speaking engagements both locally and nationally.
About Lauren Uhlig:
Lauren is the owner of Florxeight. She planted her first roses in 2017 and can’t stop. Growing roses is her 5-9 (AM or PM depending on the day) job. Some would call it a passion project or a side hustle. Lauren has nearly 200 rose plants for cut flower production for local florists at her home.
