Sandy almost lost her daughter this week to aseptic meningitis from a very bad reaction to IVIG treatment, after developing Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (petechiae all over her body). It was a pretty scary week for a mom who works overtime, and she could use a pick me up.

Adam proposed to Megan on New Year's Eve. He is finishing grad school in San Diego thus they have planned the wedding via skype and teleconference. They've been able to set Sept. 22, 2012 as the date. What a lovely couple; what teamwork!
